Beck Greener Ranked as Silver Tier Firm in WTR 1000 2021: The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals
We are delighted to announce that Beck Greener has been ranked as a silver tiered firm in the recommended trade mark attorney firm list in the 2021 edition of the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000: The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals. The WTR 1000 2021 reveals the leading national and international trademark practitioners from around the world. Four of our trade mark attorneys (Ian Bartlett, Duncan Morgan, Rowland Buehrlen and Catherine Jewell) have also been highlighted as trade mark experts within the guide. The full directory commentary about the firm is below:
“Beck Greener crunches through prodigious volumes of prosecution work, but also has the chops for complex trademark matters – particularly those that are highly fraught. As an example of the latter, it recently prevailed for DTTM Operations, which owns Trump’s trademark rights, in a High Court appeal concerning the appellant’s attempts to register the trademark TRUMP TV. The team, fronted by practice head Ian Bartlett, handled all written and oral advocacy on this one. Bartlett is in his element when disputes ratchet up, giving him the opportunity to showcase his perfectly pitched advocacy. On the filing and strategic counselling side of the practice, Bartlett has been advising PwC on a range of brand protection measures that will affect all of its operations. With him on this, associate Duncan Morgan earns credit for his “responsive, timely, swift and efficient service”. Beck Greener has two new faces in the guide this year, with partners Catherine Jewell and Rowland Buehrlen both receiving enthusiastic endorsements. Jewell wields both patent and trademark expertise and is “extremely thorough in her work” on both fronts: “She is excellent at making complex legal advice consumer friendly.” Concentrating on international trademark matters, French and German speaker Buehrlen is “pragmatic, sensible and diligent”, and “instrumental in bringing clarity and common sense to clients’ IP approaches”. All the practitioners here have a “superb command of the legal subject matter along with fine writing and communication skills – and their rates are reasonable, too”.”
We are grateful to our clients for their contribution to the World Trade Mark Review 1000 research and for their positive feedback as quoted by the WTR 1000.
