Disputes over patent rights can arise in many different ways. There can, for example, be disagreements about who invented an idea, who should own a patent or whether a patent is infringed.

While disputes can often be resolved by the courts – and Beck Greener has an outstanding record of winning in court for its clients – it is far less expensive to resolve them before they get that far.

We regularly resolve patent disputes of all different types and complexities, usually without the need for escalation. However, we also have experience of handling inventorship and ownership disputes, which have required the involvement of the UKIPO, as well as patent infringement cases heard by the court.
