Expertise and Experience

Rowland’s experience and expertise is recognised by the industry.  He is fluent in both French and German and has over 17 years’ experience of trade mark practice.  Rowland has an excellent working knowledge of international trade mark issues and database rights, and is an expert in EU Trade Mark law.  In 2017, Rowland also qualified as an Irish Trade Mark Agent.  He practices regularly before EUIPO and their Board of Appeal (with his cases cited in EUIPO’s own guidelines), as well as handling cases referred to the General Court.  He particularly enjoys addressing contentious disputes, such as trade mark opposition and infringement proceedings.
