Isabelle is the newest member of Beck Greener Chemistry Team, having joined in 2022. She is a quick learner and excellent communicator, whose invaluable industrial experience has made her an asset from the start. Isabelle works mainly in the chemical sector, with a focus on the specialist areas of polymers, catalysts, chemical processes and scientific instrumentation. She is involved with the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications at both the European Patent Offices and UKIPO.
Isabelle is currently training with Beck Greener to qualify as both a British and a European Patent Attorney.

Before joining Beck Greener, Isabelle spent 3 years working as a scientist at Johnson Matthey, on process research and development of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Prior, Isabelle graduated from the University of St Andrews with a First-Class MChem in Chemistry. Her final year project looked at the encapsulation and release of dermatological agents from zinc-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). Isabelle also spent a year in industry, at Johnson Matthey, conducting research into ester hydrogenation using sustainable Ru-based homogeneous catalysts.
In her free time, Isabelle enjoys running and cycling – you will usually find she is either training towards her next event, or recovering! She is also passionate about nutrition and enjoys cooking (…time permitting).
