Expertise and Experience

Helen qualified as a European Patent Attorney in July 2017 and as a UK Chartered Patent Attorney in March 2018.

Helen works in a range of fields including mechanical devices, electronics, and digital signal processing, optics and telecommunications among others. She has worked with a number of clients drafting and filing patent applications, providing infringement opinions and dealing with prosecution at the UK Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office.

Helen studied for a PhD in London researching the structure of molecular star forming clouds, during which time she used computer modelling techniques to analyze radio observations taken with the James Clerk Maxwell telescope in Hawaii.

Helen passed the Certificate in IP Law at Queen Mary’s College with distinction.
