Expertise and Experience

Charlotte has a technical background in chemistry.  Her practice spans a wide range of technologies including polymers, personal care compositions, ceramics, scientific instrumentation, medical devices, catalysts, pesticides and biocidal compositions.

Charlotte handles the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications at both the UK and European Patent Office.  She also has experience in opposing and defending oppositions to European patents, and providing infringement and freedom to operate advice to clients in a range of technical fields.  Her clients include companies from start-ups to multi-nationals, both in the UK and abroad.

Charlotte also handles the filing and prosecution of both UK and Community Registered Designs.

Before joining the profession, Charlotte worked on the synthesis of a novel heteroditopic [2]rotaxane and the study of its capability to switch between two positional isomers in response to barium cation recognition.

Charlotte trained and qualified with Beck Greener, having joined the firm in 2010.
