Technical Assistants and Training
Qualification is by a combination of practical training and formal examination.
Partners and senior professional staff supervise trainees in their day to day work.
Formal qualification is by examination by the two British professional bodies, the
Chartered Insitute of Patent Attorneys and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys,
and the European Patent Office.
We welcome graduates with strong academic backgrounds who are committed to a career
in intellectual property. In return we give our trainees the environment to develop
their careers. Our standards are high. In recent examinations two of our trainees
won prizes in the UK Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys examinations, and one
of them was the highest placed UK candidate and second of all candidates in the
European Patent Office examinations.
